Curative Health Services Appoints New CIO.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2003

Curative Health Services, Inc., (Nasdaq: CURE), announced today the appointment of Anne Bruce as its Chief Information Officer. Ms. Bruce will manage the implementation of the Company's IT strategy as well as the alignment of Curative's information technology operations Information technology operations, or IT operations, are the superset of all processes and services that are both provisioned by an IT staff to their internal or external and used by themselves, to run themselves as a business.  under one common platform throughout the organization.

"This appointment fills an important and strategic leadership role in the Company as we implement the IT strategy which will fuel the growth of our Specialty Pharmacy business and our Wound Care business," said Joseph Feshbach, Curative's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Anne brings considerable strategic, technical and management skill to our IT efforts."

In her new position, Ms. Bruce will report directly to Mr. Feshbach and will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the Company's information technology organization including supporting pharmacy, sales and marketing operations.

Ms Bruce brings 19 years of experience in information technology, starting her career as a Systems Engineer for Electronic Data Systems in 1984. She has held senior management positions at IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , EDS (Electronic Data Systems, Plano, TX, www.eds.com) Founded in 1962 by H. Ross Perot (independent candidate for the President of the U.S. in 1992), EDS is the largest outsourcing and data processing services organization in the country. , Ernst & Young and eLoyalty since 1989. She has extensive experience implementing IT strategy and solutions with clients in the Healthcare, Hi-Tech Manufacturing, Aerospace and Automotive industries.
