Cup o' kindness.


One act of generosity last summer--a cup of coffee paid for--has sparked thousands more. Coffee drinkers at The Steamin' Bean outside Kansas City, Missouri have been "paying it forward" ever since one person paid for the next person in line.

At the time of publication, the strand had continued more than 6,200 times, according to the business' website (thesteaminbean.com). About $1,800 had been collected in extra donations, amounting to 25 book bags full of school supplies ready for the beginning of the school year.
