A RARE poor performance this season on their last outing has left Prestatyn Town's players anxious to put things right when they visit one of the Welsh Premier's strongest sides today.

The Seasiders, currently in fourth, have had a brilliant start to the campaign, but were surprisingly below par when they crashed out of the Loosemores League Cup on Tuesday after a 3-0 home defeat to neighbours Rhyl.

Player-boss Neil Gibson is now calling on his side to bounce back at seventh-placed Port Talbot Port Talbot (tôl`bət), town (1981 pop. 40,078), Neath Port Talbot, S Wales, at the mouth of the Avon (Afan) River on Swansea Bay. Port Talbot is a popular seaside resort. Nearby are the steelworks at Margam and the oil refinery at Baglan.  Town.

Prestatyn will be without the suspended Gareth Wilson Gareth Wilson (born in Dublin on August 28 1980) was an Irish soccer player during the 1990s and 2000s.

, as well as long-term casualties Jon Fisher-Cooke and Dan Evans, but otherwise should have a full-strength squad.

"We know it will be a tough game," said Gibson. "Port Talbot are a very good side who will be challenging for a top four or five place this season, but if we concentrate on ourselves and perform as well as we can we can give anybody a game."

Gibson agreed the Rhyl performance was a big disappointment, adding: "If we're being honest we'd have to say the performance was nowhere near the standard, but these lads have been outstanding so far and wi'll want to put things right.

"We're disappointed to be out of the cup, but whatever team we've put out in the competition we've had a go."
