for the first time in years to kick off this season's bid for cup glory.

On Saturday, weather permitting, Coventry should take on Tottenham - the team they beat to lift the cup for the only time in their 104-year history.

Before the third round FA cup game, the players who helped the team to victory will be together to rally support for this year's cup bid.

The club believes it is the first time they have been reunited in public since that famous victory.

Goalscorers Keith Houchen Keith Houchen (born July 25 1960) is a retired English footballer.

Houchen, who was born in Middlesbrough, is most famous for scoring a spectacular diving header in the 1987 FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium for Coventry City in a 3-2 win over Tottenham.
and Dave Bennett Dave Bennett (born July 111959) is an English former football (soccer) player. He is most famous for playing in two FA Cup Finals; 1981 for Manchester City, when he finished on the losing side, and 1987, when he produced a Man of the Match  will be paraded on the Highfield Road pitch with their team-mates 15 minutes before the game kicks off.

Coventry City Commercial Director Ric Allison hopes the players will help buoy fans and the 2002 squad.

He said: "We believe this is the first time all the players from '87 will be together in public since the heady days of the cup final winning year. Brian Borrows, who missed the cup final through injury, will also be here because he played such a massive part in getting the Sky Blues to the final.

"The players will also be dining with us before the match and will meet up with our vice-presidents many of whom were at Wembley in 1987.

"As soon as the draw paired Coventry City and Tottenham Hotspur Hotspur: see Percy, Sir Henry.

everyone connected to the club was immediately taken back to that match in 1987.

The presence of the Sky Blues old boys will be the last thing Spurs' Director of Football David Pleat David Pleat (born January 15, 1945 in Nottingham) was an English football manager and former player, who now provides Champions League commentary for ITV and occasional commentary for BBC Radio Five Live.  will want to see as he was manager of Tottenham in 1987 and the same goes for Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle Glenn Hoddle (born October 27, 1957 in Hayes, London) is a football manager and former player for Tottenham Hotspur and England. He has had spells as manager of Swindon Town, Chelsea, England, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and most recently Wolverhampton Wanderers.  who played in the final before joining Monaco in the following summer.

Mr Allison said: "Hopefully the presence of the players from the Sky Blues' most successful side will get Roland Nilsson's men in a positive frame of mind and will give them the belief to overcome Tottenham. Few people gave City a chance in 1987 but a mixture of spirit and skill and a little bit of luck helped them overcome the Spurs team which was littered with international players.

"It is similar this time round as most pundits expect Spurs to make it through this tie - I just wonder what Lee Hughes Lee Hughes (born in Smethwick, West Midlands, May 22, 1976) is an English footballer who plays for Oldham Athletic. Between 2004 and 2007 he was jailed for causing death by dangerous driving.  is like at diving headers!"
