In the Britannia Restaurant, QM2's main dining room, InfoGenesis will put the power of accurate order forecasting into the chefs' hands with a galley meal count feature to enable chefs to forecast meal counts accurately for each lunch and dinner seating. The availability and status of an individual entree is tracked on one or more of five displays located throughout the galley.

The displays also give the chef important information to improve business, such as the original forecast quantity, the actual ordered quantity, the on-hand quantity, and the variance between the ordered quantity and the on-hand quantity. Chefs can use historical information to calculate item amounts and optimize galley operations by streamlining food preparation processes and improving guest service. Servers can track menu item status on the IBM SurePOS terminals and are alerted when an item is no longer available, thereby improving customer service during the ordering process.
