Cumulus Completes Killeen-Temple Acquisition; Closes on Radio Station KYUL-FM- in Texas Market.

Cumulus Media Inc. (NASDAQ:CMLS) announced that it has completed the acquisition of KYUL(FM), Harker Heights, Texas. The Company acquired the station from Stellar Radio Group for $2.25 million.

Known as "COOL" 101.7, KYUL is one of four FM stations programmed by Cumulus in the Killeen-Temple radio market, ranked the 149th largest market in the U.S. by The Arbitron Co.

Active in community events, KYUL has hosted the Children's Miracle Network Radio-Thon for the past two years, the March of Dimes for the past three years and Special Olympics for the past two years. "We are very pleased to be closing on this fabulous oldies brand in Killeen-Temple," said John Dickey, Executive Vice President and Director of Programming for Cumulus. "We are, and are continue to be, pro-active in shaping the lives of the community by adding KYUL to our portfolio of great radio brands."

Killeen and Temple, the two largest cities in Bell County, are the home of Central Texas College and the University of Central Texas. The radio market includes Bell and Coryell Counties and has a combined population of 309,500. The City of Killeen adjoins 217,000 acre Fort Hood, host to the largest installation of military personnel and equipment in the country.

Cumulus Media owns and operates radio station clusters in mid-size markets. Assuming the completion of all pending acquisitions, Cumulus Media will own and operate 321 radio stations in 64 U.S. media markets. The Company commenced operations May 22, 1997.
