Cummins Filtration President Pamela Carter Named to Spectra Energy Board of Directors.


NASHVILLE -- Cummins Filtration President Pamela L. Carter has been elected to the board of directors of Spectra Energy Spectra Energy Corporation (NYSE: SE) is an S&P 500 processor and distributor of natural gas headquartered in Houston, Texas. It is also the new owner of Union Gas, of Chatham, Ontario.  Corp., a Houston-based natural gas company.

Carter joined Cummins in 1997 and is an established business leader with a diverse background including law, government, international business and general management experience.

"Pamela's wide range of experience and skills will make her an asset to Spectra Energy," said Cummins Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tim Solso. "She is a proven, results-oriented leader who can be counted on to do the right thing."

Carter joined Cummins in 1997 as Vice President - General Counsel. In 1999, she became Vice President General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa business and operations. In 2005, Carter was named president of Cummins Filtration and also serves on the board of directors for Meijer Inc, an 80-year-old Midwest grocer and retail company headquartered in Grand Rapids Grand Rapids, city (1990 pop. 189,126), seat of Kent co., SW central Mich., on the Grand River; inc. 1850. The second largest city in the state, it is a distribution, wholesale, and industrial center for an area that yields fruit, dairy products, farm produce, , Mich.
