COLUMBUS, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 1999--

:CUM) today announced that Roberto Cordaro, Cummins' Executive Vice President and Group President - Automotive, will resign from the Company effective October 1 to pursue other opportunities.

"My decision to leave Cummins has been a difficult one, and it was reached only after considerable deliberation," said Cordaro. "With the launch of the Signature 600 and other new heavy-duty engines complete, the timing was right for me to look at other opportunities. I have enjoyed working with the people of Cummins, with the distributor organization and with customers around the world. I wish them continued success."
