Cummins Appoints Rose Vice President - General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary.

:CUM) announced today the appointment of Marya Mernitz Rose as Vice President - General Counsel. She will also continue to serve as Assistant Corporate Secretary for Cummins.

Rose, 38, joined the Company in 1997 as Corporate Counsel, and was named Corporate Counsel and Director - Public Relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  in 1998. She was promoted in 1999 to Corporate Counsel and Director - Public Relations and Communications Strategy. In March of 2000, Rose was named Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary, the position she held until her most recent appointment.
