:CUM) announced today a major initiative to provide engine owners with an electronic calibration calibration /cal·i·bra·tion/ (kal?i-bra´shun) determination of the accuracy of an instrument, usually by measurement of its variation from a standard, to ascertain necessary correction factors.  that will generate lower levels of oxides of nitrogen (NOx). These calibrations will be available on 1996 to 1998 Cummins M11 Plus or N14 Plus engines. This voluntary low NOx program is the first of a number of the company's upcoming initiatives to promote a cleaner environment.

"This will allow our truck customers to achieve lower NOx levels immediately with no reduction in performance or reliability.
