CBD - component based development ) The Parker Lake Joint Venture, comprised of (50 percent) Cumberland Resources Ltd. (the Operator), (25 percent) Comaplex Minerals Corp. and (25 percent) Manson Creek Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce the results from the first widely spaced drill holes on the Suluk (nickel-copper-cobalt) zone. The zone was traced in 1995, on surface, over a length of 800m, with widths of massive sulphide sulphide: see sulfide. varying from 0 to 4m and averaging 1m. Average grades from surface grab samples Noun 1. grab sample - a single sample or measurement taken at a specific time or over as short a period as feasible sample - a small part of something intended as representative of the whole yielded 3.90 percent nickel, 2.81 percent copper, and 0.167 percent cobalt Cobalt, town, Canada Cobalt (kō`bôlt), town (1991 pop. 1,470), E Ont., Canada, NE of Sudbury, near Lake Timiskaming. Once a center for cobalt and silver mining, the area is now economically depressed. . The table below lists the intersections from these first four holes. These holes intersected both disseminated disseminated /dis·sem·i·nat·ed/ (-sem´i-nat?ed) scattered; distributed over a considerable area. dis·sem·i·nat·ed adj. Spread over a large area of a body, a tissue, or an organ. and narrow massive sulphides at depths of 70m and 140m below surface on each of the two sections (two holes per section) drilled 250 metres apart. The massive sulphide intersections, (such as Sul 96-4a 157.22 - 157.69m) yielded similar nickel-copper-cobalt values as returned from the surface sampling.

The best intersections are from the western most section (3100 W), where additional drilling will continue to test the zone at depth. In addition to further drilling at the Suluk zone, the Parker Lake Joint Venture has proposed an additional 2000 m of drilling to test numerous targets outlined by airborne geophysics geophysics, study of the structure, composition, and dynamic changes of the earth, its atmosphere, hydrosphere and magnetosphere, based on the principles of physics. flown in the spring.
