Culver installed as new Society chair.

Janice L. Culver, CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. , was sworn in as the 2005-06 Ohio Society Executive Board chair by past Board Chair Lee D. Wunschel, CPA, at the June 17 Annual Meeting.

"With great power comes great responsibility," Culver said after the induction. "With great appointment comes even greater responsibility.

"CPAs give independent, analytical objectivity in offering advice. You see this in advocacy, especially in our recent decision taking a position on Ohio tax reform. We consider both sides of the issue to make sure the right decision is made. I am looking forward to continuing this proud tradition," Culver said.
