Cultural event bargains offered by WOO Card.

WORCESTER - The city's cultural, business and political communities yesterday unveiled the WOO Card, a program offering discounts at various art and cultural organizations throughout Central Massachusetts.

The public WOO Cards, which cost $20, complement an existing WOO Card program marketed to Worcester area college students.

The newest Woo Card can save between $2 and $5 off tickets and general admission to buy-one-get-one free deals and other special offers. Those participating in the program include: the American Antiquarian Society, ARTSWorcester, Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, the EcoTarium, Fruitlands Museum, the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, Higgins Armory Museum, Mechanics Hall, Music Worcester, Museum of Russian Icons, stART on the Street, Tower Hill Botanic Garden, Traina Center for the Arts, Worcester Art Museum, Worcester Chamber Music Society, Worcester Hibernian Cultural Centre and Worcester Historical Museum.

WOO Cards are available at, at the Worcester Cultural Coalition, 44 Front Street, and at select cultural events.


CUTLINE: City Manager Michael V. O'Brien holds a WOO Card, which will be available to the public and offer various discounts.
