Cultural tours with the kids are creative twists on summer break and school holidays. These extended weekends are an opportune time to expand the family's knowledge of their heritage or to learn about a different culture. --The Romine Avenue Historic District in South Dallas South Dallas is an area in Dallas, Texas, (USA). Traditionally, "South Dallas" refers to the area bounded by I-30 and Downtown Dallas to the north, the Trinity River to the west and south, and the Pleasant Grove area to the east.  consists of 17 brick and stone homes. Built between 1928 and 1940, this neighborhood was designated a segregated area for African-Americans.

--The Dallas Black Dance Theatre is a 30-year-old dance company with 300 dancers. The dancers are trained in jazz, African, spiritual, ballet and tap styles. The Dallas Black Dance Theatre troupe performs in Dallas and across the nation.
