Cuisine Solutions Begins Salmon Production in Chile; Cuisine Solutions to Procure and Produce Salmon from New 'Sous-Vide' Plant.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Cuisine Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:CUIS.OB) began salmon production in Puerto Montt Chile last week. Cuisine Solutions Chile SA is a partnership whereby Cuisine Solutions, Inc. owns 10% of a "Sous-Vide" production facility in Chile and has exclusive marketing agreements for both the US and most of Europe for the sale of the products processed in the facility. A formal opening for the plant will be held in Chile in September. "Sous-Vide" is a highly scientific cooking process that allows for food to be cooked under a vacuum seal at very low temperatures over long periods of time thereby giving the food exacting taste, texture, and color.

Chile is now the largest producer in the world of farm raised salmon. "Many of our United States Cuisine Solutions customers have been specifically requesting the Chilean salmon," states Gerard Bertholon, Corporate Chef and VP of Sales. "Chilean salmon had the lowest level of toxins of all of the world's farm raised salmon tested in a study released in Scientific Daily in January 2004."

Cuisine Solutions is concurrently slowing down its production of salmon out of its facility in Hjelmeland Norway. "We are in the process of re-evaluating which of our products should be produced out of Norway and which ones can be produced in Chile," explains CEO Stanislas Vilgrain. "We need to be sure that our customer base is being served and the Company is fiscally responsible to our shareholders." Cuisine Solutions will continue to produce many of it salmon products in their Sous-Vide plants in the US and France. Cuisine Solutions will also continue to purchase wild salmon raw materials from the US for some of its products such as their wild salmon burger and also its product offerings for the US military to meet their specifications and Berry Amendment standards.
