Cudd Launches New Lift Boat

HOUSTON, Tex., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- CUDD PRESSURE CONTROL has launched its most recent marine multi-service vessel, the CHOCTAW. The CHOCTAW was designed by Entech & Associates, Inc. and was constructed by Hope Services, Inc., both of Houma, Louisiana. The CHOCTAW is designed to provide support services to CUDD PRESSURE CONTROL's coiled tubing and hydraulic workover services and CUDD WELL CONTROL's well control/well recovery services. In addition, the multi-service vessel will be available for general platform repair and maintenance work.

The MSV-2000 class lift boat has over 3,100 square feet of useable deck space, and, with its 200 foot legs, is capable of working in depths of water up to 160 feet. The CHOCTAW will have two cranes -- one 75 ton with 100' boom and one 25 ton with 60' boom.

CUDD will be taking delivery of a second, identical MSV-2000 lift boat in September. Both lift boats will be based at CUDD's marine division in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
