Cubic's award, worth approximately $5 million, includes 22 ground debriefing stations for the UK's Rangeless Airborne Instrumented Debriefing System, also known as RAIDS. The Cubic-developed technology will be an integral part of the UK's training system that will allow Tornado, Harrier, Jaguar and Hawk aircrews to train together in the same combat environment.

Cubic's debriefing stations will provide after-action reviews for MBD's Air Combat Training Inter-Operable NATO System (ACTIONS). MBD is the prime contractor to the Sensor, Avionic and Navigation Systems (SANS) Integrated Product Team within the Defence Procurement Agency The Defence Procurement Agency (DPA), was an Executive Agency of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence responsible for the acquisition of materiel, equipment and services, for the British armed forces.  of the UK Ministry of Defence.

Cubic's PC-based, portable ground station debriefing technology will enable viewing of multiple aircraft undertaking operational air combat training maneuvers that take place on or away from an instrumented air range. The debriefing system allows combat events to be reconstructed, creating realistic learning opportunities that will greatly improve the effectiveness of RAF Fast-Jet training. The new system is due to be operational in January 2003.

Cubic's first deployment of its rangeless air training technology was the Kadena Instrumented Training System (KITS) in 1997 at Kadena Air Base “Kadena” redirects here. For other uses, see Kadena (disambiguation).
