:CUB) has received a new contract to provide simulation-based instruction for the Army's Command and General Staff College The Command and General Staff College (C&GSC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas is a United States Army facility that functions as a graduate school for U.S. military leaders. Under the $6 million contract, Cubic's Battle Command Training and Education Division (BCTED) in Leavenworth, Kan., will provide instructional support for one year, with four option years. The School for Command Preparation provides training and education to battalion and brigade command designees.

Cubic's support consists of providing simulation-based instruction to pre-command officers using the Janus ground combat simulation. Cubic personnel also provide instruction to the Command and General Staff Officers Course and the School for Advanced Military Studies.

The Leavenworth-based BCTED team is part of the Cubic Defense Applications group, one of Cubic Corp.'s two major segments. The Cubic Defense Applications group produces instrumented air and ground combat training systems, battle command training, studies and analysis, simulations and simulation support for U.S. and allied military forces. The group also produces high technology avionics, data links and communications products for government and commercial customers, and a wide range of technical and logistics services.
