Cubic Transportation Systems Names New Chief Operating Officer.

Richard A. Johnson has been named Chief Operating Officer of Cubic Transportation Systems, a subsidiary of San Diego-based Cubic Corp. (AMEX:CUB).

Prior to joining Cubic, Johnson served as president and chief operating officer of Honeywell's C&K Systems Inc. His successes while overseeing worldwide operations of the security products manufacturing company included strategic management planning that led to the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning system at the division's China factory and development of an innovative Web-based ordering system for major customers and vendors.

Johnson is a design engineer who, in addition to serving as COO of C&K, has held executive, management and engineering positions with Telco Systems Inc., Bently Nevada Corp. and GTE Lenkurt.
