Cubic Receives Contract to Compete for Wide Range of U.S. Army Force Management Services.

SAN DIEGO -- A defense unit of Cubic Corporation (AMEX:CUB) is one of three awardees selected by the Department of Defense to compete for force management services contracts in the U.S. and abroad.

Following the award of a federal Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract, Cubic is eligible to bid for DoD task orders for a wide range of support services for diverse government agencies under the U.S. Army Force Management Services Support program. The contract term is one base year and four one-year option years. The Army G3, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans, is the executive agent for the contract, which is available to all DoD and federal agencies. The total amount of work funded under the ID/IQ is at the DoD's discretion.

Specific support may include helping to develop DoD policies and procedures, national security strategies, establishing and training foreign military forces and related program management and support. In addition to U.S. government customers, Cubic will be eligible to provide education and training services to foreign military forces through programs coordinated by the Force Management School at Fort Belvoir, Va.

Based in Kingstowne, Va., ALTD is currently providing force modernization services to nations in Central and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus region. ALTD has also provided education and training services for U.S. military and other government agencies, including the U.S. Department of State and Office of Personnel Management.

Cubic Defense Applications (CDA) provides realistic combat training systems for military forces, as well as mission support services for training and exercises, modeling and simulation, force modernization, leadership development, curriculum design and development, web-based learning solutions and operations and maintenance services. The group also supplies products and systems for C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) applications, search and rescue avionics and radio communications for military and civil markets.
