Cubic's support will include curriculum development and exercise design for both live- and simulation-based air sovereignty training. Additional support and requirements analysis will be provided on operating, maintaining and scheduling C4 (Command, Control, Communications and Computers) and information technology systems.

"This contract increases our business with First Air Force and the Air National Guard, and provides an excellent springboard to support Air Guard and Homeland Defense requirements in all three Air Defense Sectors," said Mike St. John, Cubic program manager. "Cubic is currently assisting Northrop Grumman Information Technology in providing training and C4 operations analytical services at McChord Air Force Base. Now our companies will play an expanded role that will allow WADS to restore all headquarters support activities to pre-9/11 levels. Since September 11, WADS Air Guard personnel have been dedicated to 24/7 operations supporting the Homeland Defense mission, with little time for support activities."
