Cubic Names New Vice President and Corporate Controller.

SAN DIEGO -- Cubic Corporation (AMEX:CUB) announced it has named Mark A. Harrison to the position of vice president and corporate controller of Cubic Corporation. Harrison assumes the position that was held by Thomas A. Baz, who has retired from the Company, effective October 15.

Harrison has served as Cubic's vice president - Financial Planning and Accounting since 2000. He has also held other financial management positions within the company since 1983. These include assistant corporate controller and director of Financial Planning, controller of Cubic Defense Systems (a wholly owned subsidiary of Cubic), manager of Financial Planning and Reporting, and senior internal auditor.

Mr. Harrison began his career in 1980 with the international accounting firm Ernst & Young (formerly Ernst & Whinney) in their Orange County, California, office. In 1981 he transferred to the San Diego office.

A native of California, Mr. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Biola University and is a Certified Public Accountant in California. He is a member of Financial Executives International, the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs.

Cubic Corporation is the parent company of two major business segments: defense and transportation. Cubic Defense Applications provides realistic combat training systems for military forces, as well as mission support services for training and exercises, modeling and simulation, force modernization, leadership development, web-based learning solutions, and operations and maintenance services.
