Harrison's appointment follows a unanimous vote by the Cubic Corp. board of directors. Bill Boyle, chief financial officer for Cubic Corp., said the new title reflects Harrison's dedication and his outstanding performance for Cubic.

 after spending three years with the public accounting firm Ernst & Young. A year later, he was promoted to supervisor of financial planning and reporting. In 1986, he became manager of financial reporting and acting controller of Cubic Communications Inc., and in 1991 he became controller of Cubic Defense Systems.

Later that year, he moved to the position of assistant corporate controller and director of financial planning, a position in which he is responsible for the corporation's business planning process, and both internal and external financial reporting, as well as participating in new business acquisitions. His department handles the general accounting and payroll for Cubic's domestic subsidiaries. In addition, he is responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports to Cubic's shareholders.

Harrison will continue these duties in the newly created vice president position.
