Cubic Communications acquires direction-finding product line.


SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1995--Cubic Communications Inc. has acquired the direction-finding product-line assets of Ocean Applied Research (OAR) Corp. for an undisclosed amount of cash, it was announced Thursday by Sam F. Arn, CCI CCI Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie (France)

OAR is a 27-year-old San Diego-based producer of radio direction- finding products sold to military and commercial customers around the world, Arn explained. Under terms of the sale, CCI has purchased the rights to the name ``Ocean Applied Research'' and the acronym acronym: see abbreviation.

OAR will continue operations at its Sorrento Valley facility until it is integrated into CCI's Ponderosa Avenue plant in an orderly manner. It will be managed by Arthur Wigand, currently OAR vice president and general manager, with the new title of vice president, DF Products, of CCI.
