The company is the third largest defense contractor for the U.S.  to provide an Air Data Terminal and spare equipment for the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS).

From a standoff position, Joint STARS detects, locates, classifies, tracks and targets hostile ground movements, communicating real-time information through secure data links with U.S. Air Force and Army command posts. Air Data Terminals (ADTs) are one component of Cubic's Joint STARS data link used to broadcast images and moving target information from the U.S. Air Force E-8C Joint STARS reconnaissance aircraft to U.S. Army ground stations equipped with Cubic-built Ground Data Terminals.
