Cubic Announces Formation of Simulation Systems Division as Result of Recent Acquisition.

:CUB), has announced the formation of a new Simulation Systems Division within its Training Systems Business Unit. The move is a result of Cubic's recent acquisition of Orlando, Fla.-based training systems provider, ECC (1) (Error-Correcting Code) A type of memory that corrects errors on the fly. See ECC memory.

The Simulation Systems Division integrates CDA's pre-acquisition Orlando-based technical operations with those of ECC. Terry Kohl will head the new division as Vice President and General Manager. She was previously ECC's Vice President, Business Development. Bob Collins, former ECC President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , has elected not to remain with the new division.

Simulation Systems will be headquartered in the existing ECC Orlando facility and Cubic will maintain its separate office in Research Park for overall Central Florida business development, as well as general management of key U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Army programs of CDA's Mission Support Business Unit (MSBU MSBU Municipal Service Benefit Unit
MSBU Microsoft Security Business Unit
).

Other key personnel changes associated with formation of the new division include:

-- Steve Bowling is named Vice President, Programs and Technical

Operations for the new division.

-- Gary Washam joins Simulation Systems as Director of Advanced

Programs. Washam was formerly the head of Cubic's Orlando

business development office. He is succeeded by Mark Saturno,

who recently joined Cubic in Orlando.
