Cryptek Secure Communications Appoints William Franklin Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing.

Cryptek Secure Communications, a provider of trusted access management systems for protecting high-value corporate information assets, has appointed William Franklin executive vice president/commercial sales & marketing. Mr. Franklin reports to David Gross, CEO and will spearhead the launch of Cryptek's end-to-end network security solution into the commercial market.

Mr. Franklin joins Cryptek from Veritect, Inc., a Reston, Virginia information security services provider, where he was senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development. At Veritect, he set overall corporate and product line strategy, built the marketing and sales teams and led the company through a period of significant growth.

Prior to joining Veritect, Mr. Franklin was corporate vice president of services at AXENT Technologies, Inc., a Rockville, Maryland information security software vendor. At AXENT, his duties included pre-sales support, customer training, consulting and implementation, production and licensing, worldwide customer support and maintenance contracts.

He earned a BA in Business/Economics from Immaculata College, Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the College of William and Mary, Virginia.
