The CMT-3 cryogenic deflashing wheel-blasting system is said to improve rubber part quality, increase production rates and minimize maintenance over other types of deflashing systems, according to the company, a manufacturer of wheel blast cleaning systems. The CMT-3 incorporates a patented three cubic foot work capacity tumble barrel, which is said to increase deflashing performance, and a high-speed separation system that is said to prevent clogging of screens or frozen boots, as well as a 5 hp, 8,000 rpm variable speed direct drive blast wheel with adjustable blast pattern, integrated skip loader, vibrating double deck discharge conveyor and user-friendly controls that are said to allow multiple cycle recipes, according to the manufacturer.
