Cryocon Announces Pending Sales Agreements.

OGDEN, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2000

Cryocon, Inc. (OTCBB:ISOB), which provides deep cryogenic processing for customers worldwide, today announced it had signed letters of intent that could be worth more than $50 million if all of the contracts with these customers materialize, according to President and CEO Robert W. Brunson.

The pending sales agreements are Freeman United Coal Mine, which is interested in using Cryocon's deep cryogenic tempering process to extend the useful life of tooling, power cables and machine parts; Poly-Twine Western, which is interested in treating a large number of components that are subject to metal fatigue; Utah Transit Authority, which wants to extend the useful life of brake rotors in its vehicles, and the U.S. Postal Service, which also is interested in treating brake rotors. These agreements are in addition to letters of intent with customers who wish to remain anonymous at this time.

The technology in which Cryocon specializes - deep cryogenic tempering - is a computerized, multistage process in which the molecular structure of a material is realigned through cooling to minus 300 F and then heated to plus 175 to 1,100 F. The net result is a material that is stronger and more durable, and thus more resistant to wear and able to perform better. The process can be used to treat not only metals but also plastics, polymers, glass and other materials. The company's Cryo-Accurizing Division was awarded a patent in 1999 for processing firearms with the deep cryogenic process.

Separately, the company announced the appointment of Jeffrey Taylor as vice president of sales. He will be responsible for forging new customer relationships and ultimately increasing Cryocon top-line growth. Taylor has 27 years experience in a wide range of sales, marketing and training assignments in the U.S., Canada and the Pacific Rim. Prior to joining Cryocon, he was president of a California-based consulting firm that specialized in motivational sales techniques and helping companies develop successful sales strategies.
