Crying wolf from Norway.

The article "Howling at the Moon," (Currents, January/February 2005) is environmentalist environmentalist

a person with an interest and knowledge about the interaction of humans and animals with the environment.
propaganda propaganda, systematic manipulation of public opinion, generally by the use of symbols such as flags, monuments, oratory, and publications. Modern propaganda is distinguished from other forms of communication in that it is consciously and deliberately used to , and howls the false gospels of peace, harmony and joy between humankind and large carnivores. The truth is that the large carnivore carnivore (kär`nəvôr'), term commonly applied to any animal whose diet consists wholly or largely of animal matter. In animal systematics it refers to members of the mammalian order Carnivora (see Chordata).  is hell to poor farmers. This reminds me of the times in the 1970s when communist/socialist organizations in the West talked about Romania, Albania, China and North Korea as if they were places of paradise and joy.

Why is it that environmentalists from the rich countries are talking about successes making wildlife havens in countries with corrupt administrations and poor and oppressed op·press
tr.v. op·pressed, op·press·ing, op·press·es
1. To keep down by severe and unjust use of force or authority: a people who were oppressed by tyranny.

2.
farmers? The answer is that poor and oppressed farmers in corrupt countries are much easier to defeat politically than farmers in France, Scandinavia and the U.S.
