For the Crusaders, their only win of the season at Bradford Bulls two weeks ago is still fresh in the mind - not that coach John Dixon is taking anything for granted.

"I watched their 54-6 defeat to Huddersfield Giants last week," he said. "And in some ways, that result could be a bad thing for us.

"I'm expecting Wakefield to come here with real steel in their hearts and to try and rectify where they're going wrong.

"But I'm also expecting us to have that same steel and say to them, 'We're going to prolong that bad run.'" The Crusaders had chances to extend their unbeaten run last weekend at home to Catalans Dragons, but a dreadful first-half display ultimately handed the French side the points.

"We gave ourselves too much of a mountain to climb in the end," said Dixon. "But some of the stuff we produced was as good as we've played.

"We came back form 22-6 to 22-18 and had a chance to win it.

"We now need to be better for longer."

Dixon has made just one change from that 30-22 defeat.
