Crum & Forster's D&O Product Tailored for Small Companies.

Crum & Forster's Platinum Management Protection policy targets privately held companies with 100 to 5,000 employees.

It offers protection for directors and officers liability, including coverage for company liability and outside directorship liability; employment practices liability, including coverage for third-party discrimination and workplace violence; fiduciary liability; and miscellaneous professional liability.

These key coverages address today's biggest management liability concerns, said De'Andre M. Salter, vice president of Crum & Forster's management protection division.

The policy also allows insureds to customize the policy by purchasing any combination of the offered coverages.

"We recognize that many midsized private companies have significant exposures and are sophisticated enough to understand that they need more than one limit of liability to respond to the wide array of suits against them," Salter said.

The Platinum Management Protection policy has been filed in 50 states and is immediately available in several states with broader availability expected shortly.

Crum & Forster will provide defense counsel with specific coverage expertise through its duty-to-defend obligation. In addition, the Platinum Management Protection policy offers an array of support services at no additional cost to the insured, including access to the Best Practices Risk Management Line from the risk-management company AGOS Group; Internet access to The Employment Guide by the Bureau of National Affairs Inc. for sample handbooks, policies, applications, etc.; and workplace violence crisis response by AMSEC International, a security and investigation company.
