Byline: webmaster1@cpifinancial.net (Contributor)

Targeted at ultra high net worth individuals, Silversea, an Italian based luxury cruise line A cruise line is a company that operates cruise ships. Cruise lines have a dual character; they are partly in the transportation business, and partly in the leisure entertainment business, a duality that carries down into the ships themselves, which have both a crew headed by the , offer cruises with a difference. Gone is the 2000 cabin concept, the 'holiday camp' atmosphere and the mass dining; instead, smaller, more intimate luxury liners fit for the affluent who are searching for opulence, fine dining and five star service are on offer.

Stepping on board The Silver Whisper, which is one of the four luxury cruise ships This is a list of cruise ships, both those in service and those that have since ceased to operate. Both cruise ships and cruiseferries are included in this list. (Ocean liners are not included on this list, see List of ocean liners.  owned by Silversea, you are welcomed by the crew in crisp white uniforms serving fine Pommery champagne before being ushered to your suite by your personal butler, where you find large airy spaces with all the luxuries you would expect to find in five star hotels. Silversea pride themselves on being different. It is akin to stepping into a completely different lifestyle and the finest of five star hotels all together. Your butler, who can be summoned at a moment's notice 24 hours a day, will become your most loyal companion on this trip; he will stock your fridge with anything your heart desires, from champagne and foie gras foie gras (fwä grä) [Fr.,=fat liver], livers of artificially fattened geese. As the ship sets sail around 7pm you will be on your way for dinner in one of the three great restaurants - meal times on board can be as casual or as fancy as you wish. You will receive many invitations to join the Captain and the officers for formal cocktail receptions and dinners where you will meet the other guests and have a chance to make new acquaintances.

There are four delightful restaurants to choose from where you can fulfil all your culinary dreams: Le Champagne is the only wine restaurant by the renowned Relais & Ch'teaux at sea, and it can be found aboard The Silver Whisper and her sister ship The Silver Shadow; there you can treat yourself to fine wines and a lip-smacking six course feast of regionally inspired dishes.

The restaurant and the pool grille accept smart casual attire. La Terrazza, an Italian eatery, offers wonderful ocean views with the option of al fresco dining, serving sumptuous a la carte meals such as Agnolotti Agnolotti ('priest hats' in Italian) is a kind of ravioli made with a small round piece of flattened pasta dough, folded over with a meat and vegetable stuffing inside.
