Cruise Brits are trapped in Antarctic; PENGUINS.


DOZENS of British tourists on a Russian ice-breaker cruise ship are stranded in freezing temperatures in the Antarctic.

The penguin-spotters, many of whom paid more than pounds 10,000 for their trip, have been trapped for four days on the 28-year-old Kapitan Khlebnikov in a bay near Snow Hill Island Snow Hill Island () is an almost completely snowcapped island, 20 miles (32 km) long and 6 miles (10 km) wide, lying off the east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. It is separated from James Ross Island to the northeast by Admiralty Sound.  in the Weddell Sea.
