In the past, performance spaces have included everything from a drained swimming pool to the grounds of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, but this year's shows remain on familiar territory: Dance Theater Workshop Dance Theater Workshop is a New York City performance space and service organization for dance companies. Located on West 19th Street in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, DTW was founded in 1965 by Jeff Duncan, Art Bauman and Jack Moore as a choreographers' collective. and Joe's Pub Joe's Pub is a cabaret located in The Public Theater complex at 425 Lafayette Street in lower Manhattan. It debuted in October 1998 and quickly became one of New York City's most celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance. .
