Crossroads Names New Vice President of Product Marketing and Product Management.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Crossroads Systems(R) Inc. (Nasdaq:CRDS), a leading global provider of highly secure storage and data management solutions, today announced that it has hired Neal Hartsell as its vice president of product marketing and product management.

"With over twenty years of product marketing and management experience associated with introducing emerging technology products into carrier-class network, data center, enterprise network, and network security markets, Neal brings extensive experience and key leadership to the executive management team at Crossroads," said Rob Sims, president and chief executive officer, Crossroads Systems. "His role will include direct responsibility for driving strategic product initiatives central to achieving continued expansion into emerging and adjacent markets for information security and compliance solutions."

Prior to joining Crossroads, Hartsell held senior marketing positions at Surgient, Inc., and at TippingPoint Technologies, Inc. Previously, Hartsell served as global DSLAM product line manager at Cisco Systems, Inc. following its acquisition of NetSpeed, Inc., where he was the DSLAM product line manager. Prior to NetSpeed, Hartsell was the ATM and Frame Relay product marketing manager for Telematics International, a division of ECI Telecom, Inc. Hartsell began his career with product marketing responsibilities for ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, ACD, and Centrex products at Nortel Networks. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering degree from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
