Crossroads Demonstrates StrongBox Monitor at the Federal Office Systems Expo, FOSE 2005.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Crossroads Unveils Its First Of Many Network Security Appliances Security appliances protect computer networks from unwanted data traffic, intruders, email spam, enforce policies, and may also be used to create and manage VPNs. There are a number of types of security appliances.  Capturing Database Traffic To Ensure Compliance

Crossroads Systems(R) Inc. (Nasdaq:CRDS CRDS Contribution pour Le Remboursement de la Dette Sociale (French: Social Debt Repayment Contribution)
CRDS Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy
CRDS Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies
), a leading global provider of highly secure storage and data management solutions, today announced it will be demonstrating its new StrongBox Monitor appliance at the Federal Office Systems Expo (FOSE FOSE Federal Office Systems Exposition ), April 5-7, 2005, at the Washington Convention Center The Washington Convention Center has been the name of two convention centers in Washington, D.C. The old Washington Convention Center was located at 909 H Street NW and was in use from 1983 until 2004.  in Washington, DC.

During the demonstration at FOSE, StrongBox Monitor will capture and analyze database traffic with zero impact to the performance of database traffic and application behavior. As a network-based appliance, StrongBox Monitor features a comprehensive suite of intuitive, easily customizable reports about database utilization and performance.

"StrongBox Monitor can serve as a data management tool for administrators and developers seeking to understand, troubleshoot, monitor, and improve the performance of their application and database infrastructure," said David Boles, chief technology officer, Crossroads Systems. "Later this year, Crossroads also plans to expand its offerings with StrongBox Tracker, an advanced appliance that will address a broad range of data management requirements, including security, audit, and compliance."

As the first product offering in the StrongBox family, StrongBox Monitor generates reports on database access with detailed representations to include response time, query type, data volume, and table and column accesses. Analysis is presented in a variety of graphical and tabular formats that can be filtered by server, client, database, or user.

Providing advanced features, StrongBox Tracker will function seamlessly on the network as a "black box" repository with unique reporting capabilities for analysis of network audit trails, source discovery of security breaches, and determination of the extent of information losses. Acting as an autonomous and invisible agent to monitor adherence to security policies, StrongBox Tracker empowers C-level executives and IT with highly secure audit trails and reports that can be used to achieve full integrity and compliance across the organization.

"Enterprise systems today are exposed to substantial risk from data loss, theft or manipulation. Efforts to manage this risk are expensive and complicated, in part because these threats adapt quickly," said Neil Raden, principal analyst, Hired Brains Research. "Crossroads StrongBox family of products provides an unobtrusive, secure set of tools, independent of the database or application. These tools provide monitoring, alerting, auditing and analysis of network database traffic for security and compliance and, in the process, also leverage the architecture to address application and development performance."
