Earning a Crossroads A-List Award positions a product, technology, or service as a leader. The award provides customers, investors, and the marketplace powerful proof of innovative technology transforming how business performs.

Winners of the ninth annual Crossroads A-List Awards, and their reference customers, will be recognized during the Crossroads Conference, to be held March 17-20, 2002, at The Wigwam Resort in Phoenix, AZ.

Earning a Crossroads A-List Award positions a product, technology, or service as a leader. The conferring of a 2002 Crossroads A-List Award signals that an offering has successfully combined three elements critical to mainstream adoption: strategic focus; a viable product, technology, or service offering; and, most importantly Adv. 1. most importantly - above and beyond all other consideration; "above all, you must be independent"

For 2002, the Crossroads A-List Program divides the key business priorities for technology investment into three major areas:

- The Customer Experience

- The Business Network

- The Core Enterprise

The Crossroads A-List Program considers all types of products, technologies, and services and focuses on those emerging offerings that customers are successfully using to change their business. These offerings can fall into one of five broad classifications: business services; IT & network services; software; hardware; and embedded Inserted into. See embedded system.  technologies.

To be considered for a Crossroads A-List Award, a provider must offer:
- An emerging product, technology, or service that is either new to the market
or a significant enhancement to an existing offering

- Four deployed Lighthouse customers willing to speak confidentially to the
Crossroads research team about the business impact of the product, technology,
or service. Lighthouse customers are early implementers of the candidate
offerings.
