Crossheads and in-line tubing die lines enhanced to accommodate 12" diameters.

This company has enhanced its 700 Series line of crossheads and its 900 Series of in-line tubing dies to accommodate the extrusion of tube and pipe, plastics, fluoropolymers and rubber end products of up to 12" in diameter. Prior to the larger extrusion capability, the company offered crossheads or inline tubing dies of up to 6" in diameter.

The larger-sized tooling is engineered for a multitude of applications, serving extruders in petroleum and gas, water and sanitation sanitation: see plumbing; sanitary science. , waste management and pollution control, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and , food service, automotive, industrial and telecommunications, according to according to

The firm's precision engineering is said to enable thinner walls for closer tolerances. This is said to be especially important for larger tubing sizes, where waste or scrap can account for thousands of dollars of lost revenue. Closer tolerances are said to result in huge material savings.

The Series 700 and 900 are said to offer outstanding benefits, including a spiral flow configuration with a patent-pending FeatherTouch adjustment in the die holder and a cartridge-style ball assembly that does not require the loosening loosening /loo·sen·ing/ (loo´sen-ing) freeing from restraint or strictness.

of retaining screws. The FeatherTouch adjustment is said to greatly reduce material usage compared with other types of extrusion tooling available in the market today.

The larger diameter 700 and 900 series also incorporate a reduced extrudate memory set, low material inventory, balanced material flow distribution and elimination of dead spots Dead spots are abnormally fast decays of the fundamental tone on stringed instruments and are caused by a damping of the string's vibrations at a given note, due to energy transfer from the string to the instrument body. .
