Training Allows City's Justice Personnel to Create a Data Sharing Environment that Complies with GJXDM and Other Key Standards

SAN DIEGO -- Crossflo Systems, Inc., an innovative provider of data-sharing solutions for the public sector, today announced that it has successfully completed Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) Lifecycle Methodology training for the New York City Office of the Criminal Justice Coordinator. Crossflo trained the city's criminal justice employees on how to develop, maintain and distribute data through an enterprise strategy in compliance with leading information sharing standards.

IEPDs are a common set of artifacts that document the structure and content of an information exchange environment, in compliance with the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) standard, while also enabling compliance with other emerging standards such as the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM). This approach allows different domains within the justice and public safety sectors to effectively share critical information in emergency situations, as well as to more effectively support day-to-day operations and intelligence-led policing initiatives.

Under the terms of the agreement, Crossflo provided GJXDM conforming-templates and conducted training focused on best practices, best tools and timely, cost effective strategies for using IEPD artifacts within the enterprise. These will provide law enforcement personnel with the ability to initiate, augment and maintain their IEPD environment; document rules that govern information exchange; support varying implementations as needed; educate and transfer knowledge to key personnel; and communicate related governance and security rules.
