Synchronize: Advanced Technology for the Mobile Manager ========================================================

Synchronize's mobile client/server architecture An environment in which the application processing is divided between client workstations and servers. It implies the use of desktop computers interacting with servers in a network in contrast to processing everything in a large centralized mainframe. See client/server.  enables today's mobile managers to stay connected and productive even when they're on the road. Before a Synchronize user's portable computer is unplugged from the network, that user's scheduling information is copied to the portable computer's hard disk.

While disconnected, the user can continue to use Synchronize to schedule other users for meetings, respond to shared notes, and assign personal and workgroup tasks. Once the portable computer is reconnected to the network - either from the road or back at the office - Synchronize both automatically merges the user's data into the main database and exchanges any new or updated information that occurred while the portable computer was offline.
