CrossComm announces new reseller support program; Offers three service levels to meet channel needs.


MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 1996--CrossComm Corporation today released details on its new service and support program for its reseller An organization that sells hardware and software to the general public. Resellers purchase products from software publishers and hardware manufacturers.  channel.

The new program is designed to be flexible and responsive to resellers' needs, enabling them to select the service level and support program that best complements their business needs and in-house service capabilities. It enables resellers to leverage CrossComm's own top-rated Network Services and its Virtual On-Site Technology (VOT VOT Voice Onset Time (Speech Perception)

The new program offers service at three levels:

o ExpertReseller (Level 1): For the reseller who intends to resell re·sell

o ExpertPartner (Level 2): Designed for the reseller who wants to provide some services directly to their end-users, including first-level help desk support and remote diagnostics Vehicle Diagnostics
Vehicle diagnostics enables a mechanic to diagnose the exact mechanical condition of the vehicle and its systems and components. Remote Diagnostics enables to perform such diagnosis without requiring the vehicle to physically be present for checkup.
. Reseller choosing this option can package and sell their own service offerings by utilizing CrossComm's back-up support and assistance, and can earn commissions on any CrossComm services they sell.

o ExpertProvider (Level 3): This program is for the reseller who has made the investments in personnel and training to deliver a full range of support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services . In order to qualify, resellers must meet certain requirements that include test equipment, help-desk systems, training, and minimum experience supporting CrossComm products. At this level, the reseller receives back-up assistance from CrossComm, and the highest commission on additional CrossComm services.
