Legacy Databases Monitored for Changes;

Synchronizations or Java Actions Launched in Real Time

CrossAccess Corporation, the leader in legacy data integration, today announced the general availability of its new legacy data change capture product, eXadas Synchronization (1) See synchronous and synchronous transmission.

 technology that monitors selected relational or non-relational databases for designated changes that initiate XSync action. These data changes are captured - in real time as they occur - by database and platform-specific agents which then kick-off pre-determined actions via a Java-based rules engine.

Because of the enormous processing requirements and the management of massive data stores, the mainframe world is especially vulnerable to the "data disconnect disconnect - SCSI reconnect " between the mainframe and modern applications. XSync and another CrossAccess core product, eXadas Data Integrator(TM) (XDI (XRI Data Interchange) An emerging OASIS standard for data exchange and synchronization on the Internet. XDI is based on the OASIS XRI digital identifier standard for i-names and i-numbers (see XRI and i-name for details). (TM)), provide companies with an unmatched capability to integrate data throughout the enterprise. XDI delivers seamless read/write access to all mainframe relational and non-relational data. Both products have been field tested with BEA BEA - Basic programming Environment for interactive-graphical Applications, from Siemens-Nixdorf.  Systems' WebLogic(TM) in joint customer trials. The resulting speed, scale, and scope performance has exceeded all expectations.

"XSync will make an unprecedented impact on the mainframe community as data integration becomes paramount as a strategic imperative," said CrossAccess president, George Langan. "XSync is in a class of its own - literally. It is without peer and its cost savings and speed of deployment promise to make manual programming of similar functionality obsolete."
