1 LOS ANGELES, CALIF.

Honor PAC, the first-ever LGBT Latino political action committee established in California, was launched on February 24 to elect gay-friendly Latino candidates and raise awareness about gay Latino issues.

2 MADISON, WIS,

The state assembly voted 62-31 to approve a proposed constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage and civil unions, bypassing the state's pro-gay governor and sending it to voters in November.

Catholic Charities announced March 10 that it would cease its adoption assistance program altogether rather than comply with a state law banning discrimination against gay potential parents,

5 MORRIS COUNTY, N.J.

The governing board of this staunchly Republican county in northern New Jersey voted in February to make the county the 10th in the state to provide benefits to the same-sex partners of county employees.

6 FORT BRAGG, N.C.

The Army in early March charged three paratroopers with sodomy, pandering, and engaging in sex acts for money on a gay pornographic Web site.

7 TALLAHASSEE, FLA.

House Republican leader Bill Galvano said on February 28 that he might support a bill to end the state's 30-year ban on adoption by gays.
