Steven Pomie, 22, a Brooklyn, N.Y., man wanted in the brutal attack that left gay man Dwan Prince, 26, in a coma, was captured June 16 by police. Pomie and possibly two other men allegedly assaulted Prince on June 9 while yelling antigay slurs.

An appeals court ruled on June 13 that Ulf Hedberg, a gay father, should be allowed to present evidence at trial regarding a Virginia court ruling that requires him to give up custody of his son unless his partner moves out. Hedberg says the Virginia ruling would harm his son.
