Sao Paulo, after a government bid, had contracted with Interprint, one of Brazil's largest security document printing companies and security information technology solution providers, to produce the official documents. Interprint, after a careful analysis of worldwide electronic fingerprinting systems, then selected Florida-based Cross Match Technologies for its Live Scan systems. "The government of Sao Paulo was very specific in its needs as it implemented the electronic documentation process. Cross Match readily met the government's and our requirements for capturing digital fingerprints. Interprint now provides a total solution, made possible in part by the Cross Match system's ease of operation, durability du·ra·ble

"Brazilian citizens see first hand the benefits of this electronic system. They can now get their identification documents without dirtying their fingers with ink (the old process to capture the fingerprint images)," said Daniel Annenberg, ID Superintendent of "Poupatempo", Sao Paulo's government agency where the ID program is developed. The Sao Paulo government began the national ID program last year.

Interprint's solution is using Cross Match's industry-leading ID 1000(R) Live Scan Systems for initial enrollment; the company has also provided its Verifier ver·i·fy
