) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the results from an additional nine holes in its 1998 program on the Cross Lake Zone at its 100 percent owned Sheraton-Timmins Property.

Holes CLS (Common Language Specification) The structure and syntax of .NET and CLI programming languages. See .NET.  98-41B to CLS 98-47 and CLS 98-49 were drilled to follow up the significant near surface 45.6 metre intersection encountered in Hole CLS 98-40 (see release no. 98-04 dated February 23, 1998). These additional holes have traced the zinc-silver phase of the Cross Lake Zone, which extends for a length of 270 metres (886 feet) and a depth of 225 metres (738 feet), with core intersections up to 45 metres (147 feet).  is still open along strike, both to the northeast, southwest and to depth. In order to determine the potential for an open pit, further drilling is planned to test this zone.

Hole CLS 98-49, collared 55 metres west of CLS 98-40, encountered near surface significant high grade values from 39.5 to 81.5 metres (42 metres or 137.8 feet) of 2.63 percent zinc (Zn), 73.57 g/t silver (Ag) and 0.12 percent copper (Cu), including 10.4 metres (34.1 feet) from 61.6 to 72.0 metres of 5.78 percent Zn, 180.81 g/t Ag and 0.37 percent Cu.

Hole CLS 98-41B, collared 60 metres southeast and drilled below CLS 98-40, intersected from 129.0 metres to 151.0 metres (22.0 metres or 72.2 feet) 2.02 percent Zn and 26.48 g/t Ag.

Hole CLS 98-42 was collared 35 metres southwest of CLS 98-40, with Holes CLS 98-44, 98-46 and 98-49 being drilled on this same section. Hole CLS 98-42 intersected between 77.0 to 112.5 metres (35.5 metres or 116.5 feet) 2.20 percent Zn and 42.17 g/t Ag.

Holes CLS 98-43, 98-45 and 98-47 were stepped out up to 70 metres to the northeast of CLS 98-40 and have succeeded in tracing the zone toward Hole CLS97-9, which had intersected the lower edge of the southwest plunging system.

Hole CLS 98-39 was collared 130 metres south of CLS 97-32 and was designed to test for southwest extensions to the main mineralized min·er·al·ize

The host rocks in all of these holes are similar to Hole CLS 97-16, being cherty chert
n.
1. A variety of silica that contains microcrystalline quartz.

2. A siliceous rock of chalcedonic or opaline silica occurring in limestone.

[Origin unknown.
clast fragmentals, chert chert: see flint.  exhalite and cherty rhyolite rhyolite, fine-grained light-colored acidic volcanic rock. Rhyolite is chemically the equivalent of granite, and is thus composed primarily of quartz and orthoclase feldspar with subordinate amounts of plagioclase feldspar, biotite mica, amphiboles, and pyroxenes. . All holes were drilled at a -50 degrees dip on a 315 degrees bearing.

The near surface zone appears to plunge southwest to connect with the zinc zone in 97-16, 97-21, 97-22, 97-24 and 97-35, as well as the footwall zinc phase in 97-17 and 98-37. The footwall zinc phase was also encountered in Holes 97-27, 97-28 and 98-39 located some distance to the southwest where a deeper area remains to be tested.

The current drill program has been suspended to allow for a review of all data and for additional down hole geophysics to be conducted prior to the resumption of drilling. This geophysical program (pulse EM and Mise-a-la-Masse) will be carried out in March on holes recently completed in order to trace both the zinc and copper phase to depth. Drill hole geophysical surveys Geophysical survey refers to the systematic collection of geophysical data for spatial studies. Geophysical surveys may use a great variety of sensing instruments, and data may be collected from above or below the Earth's surface or from aerial or marine platforms.  completed on 1997 holes have yielded three anomalies that may represent copper phase sulphide lenses that will be tested later.

Significant assay results from the remaining four holes in this program will be released as they become available.

A schematic drill hole plan and longitudinal section are available upon request.
