Cross Lake Minerals: Drilling Resumes on Sheraton Timmins Property.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 1997-- Cross Lake Minerals(VSE:CRN.) CROSS LAKE MINERALS LTD. (the "Company") wishes to advise that drilling has resumed on the Company's 100 percent owned Sheraton-Timmins property, located 43 kilometres east of Timmins, Ontario.

The current program, of approximately 5,000 metres in about 10 holes, focuses on an area designated as the Cross Lake Zone where Hole CLS 97-16 intersected a massive sulphide zone from 278 to 311 metres averaging 6.71 percent zinc, 215.44 g/t silver, 1.86 percent lead and 0.16 percent copper including a six metre section from 281 to 287 metres averaging 18.4 percent zinc, 911.04 g/t silver, 9.28 percent lead and 0.69 percent copper. The total number, location and depth of the holes will be dependent on the geological information received as the program progresses.

The first hole in the program, Hole CLS 97-18, was completed today. It was collared 50 metres northwest of CLS 97-16 and drilled at a dip of -50 degrees to a final depth of 479 metres. Core is presently being logged and split and prepared for assay. Results will be released in due course. A second drill will be operating on the property in the next two days.
