Crosett Joins fourthchannel as President and COO; Top Technology Exec Returns to Columbus to Head Growing E-Commerce Company.

Alexander D. &uot;Lex&uot; Crosett III, a veteran of such technology and Internet companies as Myway.com, CompuServe, Banyan Worldwide, and Lotus Development Corp., has joined fourthchannel, inc., a rapidly growing Internet commerce Applications Services Provider (ASP), as President and Chief Operating Officer, fourthchannel Chairman and CEO Jonathan York announced today.

Crosett, most recently a Vice President, Development, and Chief Technology Officer for Banyan Worldwide, will take immediate charge of fourthchannel's day-to-day operations and will report to York. York, the company's founder, will remain as fourthchannel Chairman and CEO.

He helped execute a strategic alliance with Microsoft that supported Banyan's transition into an e-services business, and delivered Worktop(TM), an enterprise portal offering. Crosett's other experience includes stints as a founder and Chief Technology Officer for MyWay.com, a CMGi company, which has more than 1.5 million members and more than 1,000 network partners. He also served as Vice President for Development for CompuServe. While at CompuServe, he led the company's move to adopt open Internet standards, developed a new online service for home and family use, and delivered the CompuServe Information Manager. Crosett also served as a general manager with Lotus Development Corporation. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the University of Vermont.
