Crop1. (At Closing News).


Crop1, a new company based in Des Moines, Iowa, has received official USDA approval to offer crop insurance at discounted premium rates in seven Midwestern states. Crop is the first company to receive approval to sell crop insurance at a discount. The company has developed a sales affiliate network that includes ag retailers, ag lenders, crop advisors, and other professionals. The discounted premiums are being offered in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and North Dakota.
